Sorry for the stretch of radio silence on the Josie blog...Jack and Josie and I were in Denver attending the American Library Association's Midwinter Conference in Denver. Some of you may have heard that we were successful in finding a babysitter while we were there (we had a few overlapping meetings). Thanks, Janice, for responding to my plea on Facebook and recommending your niece! And thanks, Tricia, for being a super babysitter! Josie is grateful that she didn't have to attend any meetings (and so are we!).
Here are a few shots from Denver...sorry there aren't too many of the actual city. It was pretty grey and snowy while we were there. Plus, we were often rushing to and from meetings and didn't stop to take many pictures.
Josie hangs out on the couch in the lobby of our hotel.
Here's a silhouette shot of Josie taken in front of the window in our room.
Daddy and daughter take a nap.
Josie relaxes in her new jammies (thanks for the swell xmas gift, Noah!).
It was pretty cold in Denver. Snowy and slushy, too, but by the time we took this pic the worst of it had been cleared from the sidewalks.
We brought Josie's travel stroller along...you drag it behind you like a piece of luggage. I didn't realize how nicely it coordinates with the diaper bag.
This is a shot outside taken in the small park in front of our hotel. We staged it so that I would be in front of a piece of art (in this case, a sculpture shaped like the outline of the US).
This shot is from last year's Midwinter Conference in Philadelphia. What a difference a year makes!
