Baby jail
Lobster pit
Josie is getting very mobile and as she crawls around the apartment she has an uncanny ability to hone in on every bit of floor debris and get it into her mouth in the blink of an eye. I've never had a Roomba vacuum, but I imagine it's a little bit like this, only with less panicking and and finger-sweeping-of-the-mouth moments.
So we got a walled-in playpen to have a place for her that is relatively non-edible debris free.
After we assembled it the other night, we threw her in there with the lobster and they wrestled.

New Skills
Here's a video of Josie showing off some new skills: shaking a rattle, clapping hands, eating a cheerio, reading, and kissing.

Tennis, anyone?
Josie concentrates and fixes her gaze firmly on the camera while she tries to levitate the tennis ball.
Our tennis matches consist of rolling the ball back and forth on the floor, accompanied by enthusiastic clapping (on my part) if she lets go of the ball and it rolls in my general direction as well as when the ball rolls near her and she picks it up.
After a vigorous game of tennis, Josie likes to drop and do a few one-armed push-ups.

There's No Place Like Home
Today I took my eyes off Josie for a minute and when I looked back she had created what appears to be a diorama illustrating a scene from the Wizard of Oz.
This is particularly odd because L. Frank Baum lived just a few blocks from here when he wrote the Wizard of Oz.
