Two fake oil paintings

I'd like to say I painted these pictures during the holiday break, but really they're just photos from my phone.

Here are some pictures from Harriet's birthday earlier this month, in Ann Arbor and Birmingham.

On Demand

Walking out of Kerrytown today, Harriet sat down and said "take picture!" So I did.

Harriet year in review video

Here's a movie of Harriet's second year, in honor of her birthday. I didn't really record much video this year, so it's sort of a random grab-bag of what I found on my phone. But it does show her singing ability, the Michigan marching band, and a yodeling pickle. (I wish there was technology that allowed me to easily edit my own voice out of these videos.)

Thanksgiving weekend

I failed to take any pictures of our Thanksgiving family get-together, or our our turkey dinner. But here are a few photos from the weekend.

Harriet's Haircut

Harriet was sort of traumatized by her first haircut, but she cheered up quickly by combing her hair, after a hug from Josie.

Behind the Scenes at SimpRoss Inc: An Exposé

Just so people don't get the impression that Josie and Harriet are always peaceful and loving, here is the full sequence of photos of them on our porch a few days ago. They go from happily posing to fighting in about 2.5 seconds...

Cat-o-lantern

I totally copied this design from another cat-o-lantern picture I found online.  We'll see how it looks all lit up tomorrow if the rain and frost and squirrels haven't gotten to it by then.

Josie and Harriet had fun helping with the pumpkin carving, even if they were a little sad that they didn't get to hold the knives.
