Crunchies!

Ayyy! Nice to see youse guys...come join me for some gabagool, uh, I mean crunchies.

Hmmm...I don't know about this crunchie.

Oh, well...down the hatch!

Never turn your back

Here's what happens when you look away and forget that the bowl full of mashed sweet potatoes is within Josie's reach.

Here she is after sneaking in to the kitchen area.

Waiting for dinner

Hi. Is it almost dinner time?

Still waiting on that dinner.

That's okay, though. I don't mind waiting!

Dancing on the countertop

Kitchen dancing with Daddy.

Oh, hello there. Don't mind us...we're just dancing on the countertop.

A quick trip to the library and the playground

Josie and I went to the library today. Here she sits next to their collection of board books.

On the way home, we stopped at the playground.

As you can see from these pix, she really likes the swing!

Higher! Higher!

Here she comes!

I took these pix as Josie crawled toward me this morning:

Baby jail

These photos make Josie's new play yard look a little grim. Don't worry--she's got a good lawyer and should be out in no time.

Do the time...don't let the time do you.

Lobster pit

Josie is getting very mobile and as she crawls around the apartment she has an uncanny ability to hone in on every bit of floor debris and get it into her mouth in the blink of an eye. I've never had a Roomba vacuum, but I imagine it's a little bit like this, only with less panicking and and finger-sweeping-of-the-mouth moments.

So we got a walled-in playpen to have a place for her that is relatively non-edible debris free.

After we assembled it the other night, we threw her in there with the lobster and they wrestled.

New Skills

Here's a video of Josie showing off some new skills: shaking a rattle, clapping hands, eating a cheerio, reading, and kissing.

Where's Poodle Puppy?

Here's a movie of Josie co-starring "Poodle Puppy."

Tennis, anyone?

Josie concentrates and fixes her gaze firmly on the camera while she tries to levitate the tennis ball.

Our tennis matches consist of rolling the ball back and forth on the floor, accompanied by enthusiastic clapping (on my part) if she lets go of the ball and it rolls in my general direction as well as when the ball rolls near her and she picks it up.

After a vigorous game of tennis, Josie likes to drop and do a few one-armed push-ups.

There's No Place Like Home

Today I took my eyes off Josie for a minute and when I looked back she had created what appears to be a diorama illustrating a scene from the Wizard of Oz.

This is particularly odd because L. Frank Baum lived just a few blocks from here when he wrote the Wizard of Oz.

A Visit from Uncle Jamie

Jamie stayed with us this weekend.

This picture looks like a mountain-man broke into our cabin and is trying to carry off our youngun.

We were able to buy him off with moonshine.
