Big Girl Bed!
Here are some pix of Josie in her new big girl bed. She's wearing some new pj's which are technically "for boys," but she really likes fire trucks (and helicopters and police cars) and these are soft and cozy.
In this shot you can see some of the wall stickers she has surrounding her bed. You can also see that the bed is kind of short and square--you can extend it two more times so that it eventually becomes a regular twin-size bed. What will Ikea think of next?

Waiting for the Mommy & Josie bus
Yesterday marked the end of Josie's first official week of "school." I have been picking her up and then we walk down to Kerrytown to catch the bus home. In this pic, she's holding my UMich ID (which gets us on the bus). She likes to point at it and say, "Look...it says "Mommy.""

Josie's first day of "school"
Here's a kind of grainy shot of Josie before she heads off to her first (half) day of daycare at the U of M Children's Center. Jack dropped her off and reported that she was the only child in her section not throwing a fit. When we arrived to pick her up she kept repeating, "But I don't wanna leeeeave!"
We eventually got her to leave...here's a picture of her hanging out and happy on the back porch with Daddy.

A Lunchtime Story
Josie's favorite activity lately is to listen to stories, which means one of us starts telling a story and then she takes over and narrates the rest. Here's an example. I don't know where she got the character "Muck" from, or what that means, exactly.
